Who we are

The Technology Alliance’s core team is formed of four seasoned IT sales and marketing professionals with a combined experience spanning over eight decades.  This team is augmented by a network of aligned professionals providing additional support across a range of business development related disciplines where and when it is needed.

At the heart of the core team are…

Derek Farr

Derek, who studied Mechanical Engineering at Nottingham University, boasts a sustained record of selling enterprise software solutions across a range of industries but with particular emphasis on the financial services sector where he has worked with the likes of Barclays Bank and HSBC.  Derek’s career includes successful spells with Lotus Development, Candle Corporation and IBM amongst others.


 

David Martin

As well as direct sales and marketing experience David adds indirect skills also to The Technology Alliance team.  His experience includes building and executing channel strategies as well as working on a sell with and through basis with many of the world’s leading systems integration and outsourcing companies including Accenture, Capgemini, CSC, Fujitsu and others.  David holds a Masters Degree in Marketing from the University of Lincoln.


 

Phillip Speed

Phillip has a wealth of experienced gained with some of the largest industry shaping companies including Virgin Media (NTL), ICL (Workplace Technologies), and smaller start up's backed by the likes of Microsoft and Intel.  He has developed global strategies and has hands on experience of developing and executing on vertically integrated solutions and value propositions.  Phillip’s experience includes working with organisations such as Marks and Spencer, Boots, News International, Reed Elsevier and The Guardian Media Group.
